| Green Mail Filter works as a preconfigured mail filter, but in fact it's a platform for building mail filters. For a developer, or a advanced user with programming knowledge, Green offers a way to build any mail filter they can imagine. The rules are based on regular expressions (which are simpler and faster) and Python scripts (which are more complex but give unlimited flexibility). The rules can also add or remove other rules if they need to, and even be manually trained (useful in Bayesian filtering). Green Mail Filter is a multi-user server software, when installed on a server and shared by multiple users, Green handles a load of hundreds of actively working users, and as such can be used in an industrial environment. The server core is installed invisibly as a system service under Windows 2000 or higher. The GUI management front-end application gives access to the users' parameters and sets of rules. |
