WirelessNetView is a small utility that runs in the background, and monitor the activity of wireless networks around you. For each detected network, it displays the following information: SSID, Last Signal Quality, Average Signal Quality, Detection Counter, Authentication Algorithm, Cipher Algorithm, MAC Address, RSSI, Channel Frequency, Channel Number, and more.
NTP Time Server Monitor
The NTP Time Server Monitor, available for the operating systems Windows NT/2000/XP/Server 2003/Vista, allows the user to configure and control the local NTP service with a userfriendly graphical user interface. Secondary the current status of the local NTP service, as well as external NTP services, can be displayed.
IP2 is a small program that you can use to determine your IP addresses - both WAN and LAN. What this means is that along with showing you the traditional IP address that your computer is using in its local environment (e.g. a LAN) it will also
show you what your IP address is from the perspective of an 'outsider' on the Internet. This is in contrast to the many tools and utilities available on the Internet that simply return the LAN address, which is useless if somebody on the Internet needs to connect to your computer.
Neutron is a very simple and small time synchronizing program that retrieves the accurate time from one of several specialized time servers on the Internet. Once the network time has been retrieved the program can set your computer's clock to match it.
Options in the program enable you to automatically obtain the time from the time server and set your clock appropriately at program startup. It is also possible to have the program automatically exit after the time has been set and so is ideal for placing a shortcut in your Startup folder to sync your clock when your computer is started.
WSControl is a program that allows you to remote control computers on your network. I.e. you can execute commands that you could also type into Windows' 'Run...' dialog box. Additionally there are the so called SysCmds.
They start with 'SysCmd_' followed by a mostly self-explaining command. With them you can execute complex commands that would be hard to or can't be executed by command line, i.e. close windows.
Network Traffic Monitor
Network Traffic Monitor 1.02 (last freeware version) shows you which processes in your machine are causing TCP/IP network traffic, how much traffic that is, and over which IP
ports this traffic takes place. For each process it can show detailed information, including the path to the process executable. Network Traffic Monitor can give you a historic overview of the
network traffic since the application was started, and save that info to a file for later examination.
