PAST is a free, easy-to-use data analysis package originally aimed at paleontology but now also popular in ecology and other fields.

Geometria provides a graphic interface for creating and solving problems in solid geometry.

Calcul will help your elementary school students practice mental arithmetic or to do fractions. Choose addition, subtraction, multiplication, division or fractions; then set the range of numbers and the number of calculations for an exercise. The program shows you two numbers or fractions respectively, and you enter an answer. Right or wrong answers get audio feedback and there's a pie chart to show your percentage of correct responses.

Scilab is a scientific software package for numerical computations providing a powerful open computing environment for engineering and scientific applications. Developed since 1990 by researchers from INRIA and ENPC, it is now maintained and developed by Scilab Consortium since its creation in May 2003. Distributed freely and open source (see the license) via the Internet since 1994, Scilab is currently being used in educational and industrial environments around the world. Scilab includes hundreds of mathematical functions with the possibility to add interactively programs from various languages (C, Fortran...). It has sophisticated data structures (including lists, polynomials, rational functions, linear systems...), an interpreter and a high level programming language. Scilab has been designed to be an open system where the user can define new data types and operations on these data types by using overloading. A number of toolboxes are available with the system:
- 2-D and 3-D graphics, animation
- Linear algebra, sparse matrices
- Polynomials and rational functions
- Simulation: ODE solver and DAE solver
- Scicos: a hybrid dynamic systems modeler and simulator
- Classic and robust control, LMI optimization
- Differentiable and non-differentiable optimization
- Signal processing
- Metanet: graphs and networks
- Parallel Scilab using PVM
- Statistics
- Interface with Computer Algebra (Maple, MuPAD)
- Interface with Tck/Tk
- And a large number of contributions for various domains.

MSPlotter (Mandelbrot Set Plotter) helps you create fractal images using the Mandelbrot Set and the Julia Set. Just enter values for Center X, Center Y, Range, and Power of Equation; press the 'Plot' button to begin the process of rendering your image, which may be saved in .bmp format. Options let you select image and window colors, specify detail value, and more. MSPlotter can produce some nice-looking fractals while giving you total control of the process. Fractal AVI movies can also be created.

Graph is a freeware program used to draw mathematical graphs in a coordinate system. Anyone who wants to draw graphs of functions will find this program useful. The program makes it very easy to visualize a function and paste it into another program. It is also possible to do some mathematical calculations on the functions.
